About
I am an assistant professor at a small regional unviersity in Oklahoma. I recieved my PhD at Miami University in 2006, focusing on eighteenth-century travel writing and postcolonial literature (esp. the works of V.S. Naipaul and R.K. Narayan). My main interests are travel writing throughout the British empire, colonial literature, and graphic novels. In my brief academic career, I have published articles and essays on Defoe, Kipling. V.S. Naipaul, and teaching graphic novels (with emphasis on Satrapi's Persepolis), and have presented at numerous conferences on Defoe, Fielding, and Aphra Behn.
